For the Europan competition, we selected the city of Geneva(CH) as our site. The object of the project was to propose acomprehensive vision that responds to the climate change emergency while further transforming the 15 sites identified by the city through tactical urbanism. This approach relies on short-term, low-cost interventions to test and demonstrate potential long-term transformations of public space. The project title itself reflects our methodology. Ècouter (to Listen) refers to mapping ecological challenges and understanding the fragility of the city. Deambuler (Wandering) represents moving through the city to propose strategies aimed at mitigating the climate emergency. Finally, S’Arreter (Stop) translates into the development of temporary projects for selected urban spaces among the 15 sites proposed by competition.
